200 Hours Hatha Yoga Teacher Training

The Himalayan Hatha Yoga Teachers’ Training Course (TTC) is a 26 days intensive residential course, wherein the trainees would undergo an overwhelming transformational journey bringing alignment in all three planes, physical, mental, and astral. The organization of the convoluted thoughts in the mind for the mental plane, the correction of the asanas alignment for the physical plane, and activation while unbarring the closed chakras for the astral plane, all three would be focused upon simultaneously during the course. Philosophy and Quantum theories inspired from our Vedas and Upanishads thus form a very integral part of the course.

Course Objectives

This course is presented with a progressive approach to yoga and is taught primarily in English, followed by Sanskrit and Hindi languages as well. This Training program is the perfect platform for you to lay the groundwork to be a motivational person as well as a Yoga Teacher. The training by itself will build you a solid foundation in Hatha Yoga. The program is taught in a traditional and relaxed environment in which it will encourage, support, and guide one to learn more about oneself. The Himalayan Hatha Yoga taught is the Anusara method. Anusara Yoga is a new style of Yoga that is heart-oriented, spiritually inspiring, yet grounded in a deep knowledge of optimal body alignment in the poses. Teachers encourage students to listen to their body, respect its wisdom, and progress at their own pace. Deep relaxation is taught in each class after the completion of the postures. The intention of the teachers is to assist students in the development of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Following are the inclusions:

Yoga Philosophy

Patanjali Yoga Sutras (Patanjali is the father of yoga). Each Friday, students will lead a discussion reflecting on the week’s readings. Before class, students should write down one question on a notecard directly related to the day’s reading and give this to the teacher at the start of class, Yoga and Philosophy go hand in hand, just as the body and the mind do. Philosophy is the staple concept that builds the globally practiced form of well-being, Yoga. Asana & Pranayama Practice

You cannot claim to be a Yoga Teacher unless you familiarise yourself with the necessary techniques of teaching an Asana session. You cannot effectively teach an Asana session unless you know how to devise modifications for the students who cannot perform the final postures with ease. This class focuses on creating a syllabus that encapsulates important Asanas and the ideal methods to teach them. Additionally, you will learn how to optimize and adjust the poses, as well as some variations for the difficult poses by the use of props, micro-bends, and other easier approaches.

General Rules

  • Silence should be maintained between 10 PM until the morning.
  • Regular homework should be completed.
  • All classes are mandatory to attend unless you are ill.
  • As a part of the evaluation procedure, there will be an assessment for certification.
  • The administration reserves the right to disqualify any students at any time during the course for misconduct.
  • Eating and drinking (anything other than water) are NOT ALLOWED in the yoga halls.
  • Use of electronic gadgets (i.e., mobile phones, laptops, tablets) during lectures is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
  • During asana practice leave all jewelry, books, extra clothing, book bags, and purses in your room. Only yoga mat and water bottles permitted in the yoga hall.
  • Management expects all students to clear their practice space immediately following your practices.
